Mathematical Association of America announced the results of 2016 AMC 8 competition. 55 students of Ardent Academy for Gifted Youth were honored by ranking in the top 5%.

The AMC 8 is an annual math competition for middle school students organized by the Mathematical Association of America. It is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. Approximately, 100,000 students participated in 2016. The average score of all participates is 9.34.
