Groups of ten, multiplying and dividing by tens and hundreds, remainders on sight, and adding, subtracting and multiplying decimals in the head.

Rounding and place value, first exponents, long division by partial quotients with one- and two-digit divisors, and estimating quotients.

Strategy

Problem Solving

Palindromes and place-value puzzles, the box method, comparison and before-and-after models, and multi-step problems that need a model to hold them.
