What you’ll learn

A four-part year through the human body

  • Blood, heart, and lungs — DNA and genetics groundwork, the cardiovascular system, vital signs, gas exchange
  • Digestion, brain, and senses — nutrition, the nervous system, vision, hearing and balance, smell, taste, and touch
  • Skin, muscles, and bones — cells and tissues, the skeletal and muscular systems, exercise and muscle fatigue, a DNA-and-forensics day
  • Diseases and biotechnology — pathogens and immunity, vaccines and antibiotics, genetic engineering, MRI and surgical robots, cloning, biomimicry
  • Throughout: student presentations, review sessions, and a science fair
