What you’ll learn
Mental Math
Collapsing sums with the distributive property in reverse, cross-multiplying unlike fractions, and recognizing ÷0.5 and ÷0.25 as doubling and quadrupling.
Skill Builder
Probability from coins, dice, and a full deck; counting with inclusion–exclusion; simplifying by GCF; and the complete divisibility rule set for 3, 4, 8, 9, 11.
Problem Solving
Cryptarithms, before-and-after models, possibility tables, consecutive-number problems, and the divisibility reasoning where number theory begins.
