- Prerequisite: Python Level 1, or instructor placement.
What you’ll learn
Python, applied everywhere
- Cryptography: character codes, letter shifts, and the Caesar cipher — encrypting and breaking it
- Text analysis: word counts, synonym lookups, vowel ratios, full frequency analysis
- Recursion arrives: factorial, Fibonacci, and strings, written the recursive way
- Bioinformatics for real: generate DNA strands, process sequences, find short tandem repeats
- Build a chatbot; compose music in code; draw with Turtle graphics
- Classes and objects — your first object-oriented programs
- Game logic — bowling scores, 2D snowflake grids, guess-the-number — and a presented final project
